Service Agreement
Clients are encouraged to read the terms and conditions in full and consult with the company for any clarifications before agreeing to the services.
By engaging our services, clients agree to comply with and be bound by the terms of service provided by our company.
The Designer agrees to provide tiny home design services, which include
Initial Consultation: An in-depth meeting to understand the Client’s needs, preferences, and requirements for the tiny home design.
Full Tiny Home Design Workshop: Collaborative development deep dive of the design concept, ensuring the Client’s vision is captured in the plans.
Final Design Delivery: Provision of complete design plans to the Client.
Add-On Services (if requested): 3D rendering, design revisions, or other services as agreed upon.
2. Scheduling and Appointments
The Client may schedule appointments through the KAI’s Tiny Homes’ website via the “Book a Design Call’ buttons that lead to the scheduling page.
Appointments are to be booked according to the Client’s individual needs within the Designer's preset availability.
Initial Design Consultation
The initial design consultation is a one-hour session intended to understand the Client’s vision and project requirements. This consultation can be booked individually and is an optional but highly recommended prerequisite for purchasing the full tiny home design workshop.
Full Tiny Home Design Workshop
Upon deciding to proceed after the initial consultation, Clients will purchase a full tiny home design workshop. The workshop is a comprehensive three-hour session focusing on in-depth design development.
The design process will continue beyond the workshop, based on the project timeline and collaboration on updates and changes discussed and agreed upon by the Designer and Client during the workshop.
Ongoing Collaboration
Both the Designer and Client will engage in ongoing communication to discuss updates to the design post-workshop as per the outlined project timeline. This collaboration ensures that the design evolves in line with the Client’s expectations and feedback.
Add-on Services
Clients who book the Full Tiny Home Design Workshop have the option to purchase add-ons while booking.
Add-ons include:
Professional-Quality Render Packages ranging from 10-40 renders at various prices from $500-$2000.
Revision Service Packages ranging from 1-3 revisions, priced from $150-$450, accounting for time & frequency that the Designer will spend revising and editing 3D models and 2D floor plans.
Collaborative Design Studio Class
The Collaborative Design Studio Class is an optional, interactive workshop offered via Zoom, designed for up to 20 participants interested in learning the art of designing tiny homes.
The class utilizes “Tiny Easy,” a specialized tiny home design software, with the Designer facilitating the design process on their end. Students have the option to acquire a free trial, personal version of the software before class to follow along.
The Collaborative Design Studio Class is 2 hours, providing a comprehensive learning & networking experience to students. The class is structured to encourage active participation, with each member contributing ideas to achieve a collaborative final design product.
Interested participants can enroll for the Collaborative Design Studio Class through the “Book a Design Call' buttons found throughout the KAI’s Tiny Homes website that lead to the scheduling page.
Class Schedule
The class will be scheduled on specific dates and times as listed on the Designer’s booking page. Participants are encouraged to book their slots early due to limited availability.
Enrollment
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 20 participants per class to ensure a quality learning experience. Price per participant is $125.
System Requirements
Participants are responsible for ensuring their computer systems meet the technical requirements for running the "Tiny Easy" software. A stable internet connection is required for the duration of the Zoom class.
Intellectual Property
While the collaborative nature of the Design Studio Class encourages input from all participants, all designs created during the class are the intellectual property of KAI's Tiny Homes. This ensures that the designs can be managed and protected against unauthorized commercial use.
Purchasing Options
Participants will have the option to purchase a render package of the tiny home designed during the class for personal use. Additionally, participants may purchase DIY plans of the tiny home, which will include a limited license for personal construction and non-commercial use.
Rewards
Upon completion of the class, all participants will be granted:
A one-time 50% discount code for future classes or services provided by KAI's Tiny Homes.
A free digital booklet containing tips and best practices for tiny home design, compiled by KAI's Tiny Homes, will be provided.
3 Free Renders of the tiny home designed during the class.
Add-ons
Clients and participants of the Collaborative Design Workshop have the option to purchase add-ons as you book your appointments.
Add-ons include:

3. Payment for Design Services
Clients agree to pay for the full booking upon scheduling services. Full payment terms for design services and the flexible cancellation policy are specified in the service contract.
Invoicing: The Designer will provide the Client with an itemized invoice detailing all charges. Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise specified in writing.
Payment Schedule
33% of the booking cost is due at the time of booking.
The remaining balance for any requested services after the booking is due upon final delivery of the design plans.
Payment Methods
Acceptable methods of payment include ApplePay, AfterPay, credit card, & debit card. All payments are secure and are processed with Stripe.
All payments are to be made in USD.
Additional Services and Fees:
Any services not included in the initial contract will be charged at a rate of $75 per hour or at a flat rate agreed upon before the commencement of said services.
Any additional costs or expenses incurred by the Designer in the completion of the project will be billed to the Client with prior notification
Disputes
Any disputes regarding payments must be submitted in writing and received by the Designer within 7 days of the invoice date. Disputes will be resolved internally. If deemed necessary by both parties, the Designer and the Client, disputes may be resolved in accordance with the governing law and jurisdiction stipulated in this contract.
4. Intellectual Property
All design work remains the intellectual property of the company. The designer retains the copyright of all design plans and materials produced, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Once payment is received, the client will be granted a non-exclusive license to use the designs for the purpose of building a tiny home.
Designs by KAI's Tiny Homes are not to be used for commercial business.
5. Liability
KAI's Tiny Homes is responsible for delivering professional and accurate design plans to the Client.
KAI’s Tiny Homes is not liable for delays in the project timeline caused by client unresponsiveness or external factors beyond our control.
KAI’s Tiny Homes is not liable for any construction-related mishaps or code violations that may occur after the design plans have been delivered to the Client or a third-party.
The Client is responsible for verifying that the design plans meet all local zoning laws, building codes, and regulations with their respective governments, architects, contractors, and/or engineers.
The Designer’s liability in the event of any errors or omissions in the design plans is limited to the cost of services provided.
6. Changes and Revisions
Any changes requested by the client that fall outside the scope of the original agreement may incur additional charges. Clients may purchase revision packages when booking their appointments to streamline the design process and avoid unnecessary charges.
7. Termination
The agreement may be terminated by either party with written notice if the terms and conditions are not met.
8. Flexible Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and plans may change. If you need to cancel your design consultation, or another appointment, we offer the following flexible options:
Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled appointment will be eligible for a full refund.
Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the appointment will receive a 50% refund.
Rescheduling: If you cancel less than 48 hours before the appointment, we will offer the option to reschedule to a new date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
Last-Minute Changes: If something comes up and you need to cancel within 48 hours of the appointment, please reach out to us directly to discuss options.
